 1. Can I place a bid without registering as a Member?
No. you can browse but if you wish to sell or bid on machinery, you must register as a Member. This process is easy. Click on the "Register" link on any page which will take you to the membership enrolment page, select Register New Account, and you will be guided through the registration procedure.

 2. How much does it cost to become a member?

Membership is FREE! Once we receive your registration form, we will send you a confirmation by email notifying you that your membership has been accepted. As soon as you receive this notice, you will be able to browse and place your bids with UBIDMACHINERY.COM.

 3. What is the 10% buyer's premium?

The buyer's premium is a fee levied by UBIDMACHINERY.COM for administration and handling fees of its site. A fee is to be remitted in $CAD (unless the auction is held in the United States which will mean the charge of 10% will be in American dollars) and is equivalent to 10% of the successful end bid price.

 4. When is the 10% buyer's premium fee due?
The 10% buyer's premium fee must be remitted to UBIDMACHINERY.COM when you pay the invoice for machinery purchased.

 5. How does the Seller receive payment for machinery that has been sold?
As soon as UBIDMACHINERY.COM receives payment, the monies from the highest bidder minus the 15% Seller's Fee (in $CAD or $US)* will be forwarded to the Seller. The Seller will not receive any money prior to that time.
* If auction is held in the United States, the Seller's Fee will be charged in US$.

 6. How do I pay for the machinery I have purchased?

An invoice indicating the amount of the successful bid and including the 10% Buyer's premium (in $CAD unless the auction is held in the United States which will mean the charge of 10% will be in American dollars) ) and taxes (if applicable) will be issued by UBIDMACHINERY.COM within a short period of time following the close of the auction for that machinery. Upon receipt of the invoice, the buyer must remit the full amount as indicated on the invoice to UBIDMACHINERY.COM within a 48-hour period. The payment must be made by wire transfer, certified cashier's check or a certified bank check under the name of UBIDMACHINERY.COM.

 8. Who is responsible for paying the freight charges?
Freight charges for machinery bought on this site will be the responsibility of the Buyer unless otherwise stipulated in the description of the machinery for sale.

 9. Who is responsible for rigging, dismantling and loading charges?
Costs for rigging, loading, dismantling and any other costs associated with delivery of the machine(s) bought will be the responsibility of either the Buyer or the Seller as specified by the conditions of the sale for the machine(s).

 10. What is the Reserve Price?
The Reserve Price is the lowest price an item or a lot can be sold for. This amount is usually higher than the allowable starting bid and is determined before a lot is put up for auction. The amount of the reserve price is kept private by the seller. To become the successful bidder at an auction with a Reserve Price, your bid must be greater than or equal to the Reserve Price.

 11. How do I know if the Reserve Price has been met on machinery?

As you place your bids for machinery listed on the UBIDMACHINERY.COM service auction web site, a message will appear in red to indicate whether or not the Reserve Price has been met. If the Reserve Price has not been met and you still want to purchase the machine, you must continue to bid until you reach the Reserve Price. The machinery will not be considered as sold if the Reserve Price has not been met. If you are the highest bidder and your bid meets or exceeds the Reserve Price at the close of the sale, you will be the successful buyer.

 12. How will I know if an auction has a Reserve Price?

Every item or lot available for online bidding has a Bid Status field. If there is no Reserve Price on particular machinery, the text No Reserve Price will appear. Please remember even if the Seller does not post a Reserve Price, you will still able to bid from the increments displayed in the bidding section or by bidding manually. If there is no Reserve Price, the item or lot will be sold for the first Allowable Starting Bid unless it is exceeded by other bids. If the Seller has issued a Reserve Price, the Bid Status field will display Reserve Price Met or Reserve Price Not Yet Met.

 13. How does the Maximum Proxy Bid feature work?
If the Reserve Price has been met, the Maximum Proxy Bid feature will bid incrementally on your behalf up to your maximum bid. Your bid will remain one increment above any other bid up to your maximum bid.

 14. How does the Place Your Manual Bid feature work?
  1. You may use the Place Your Manual Bid here field to place your bid according to the next allowable bid message already displayed in the box or;
  2. You may also use Place Your Manual Bid to bid higher than the next allowable bid. This feature is sometimes used to as a “psychological” tool during the bidding process.
